ShareWatch

Sharewatch was developed to provide a means to gather information about who is accessing shares and when.  The default Windows tools only give you half the story at a time and does not give you an easy way to really see the activity on a share.

Screen shots and a demo version will be available very shortly.

ShareWatch can monitor shares from many different servers at the same time and gives you information, such as:

• User name
• Machine IP address or name.
• Date and time of first access.
• Date and time of last access.
• Session time.
• Session idle time.
• Connection type.
• Number of open files.

A separate window can be opened to show the files in use by the client.  The same window can be set to auto update as well as show all files open on the entire share.

ShareWatch will also query Active Directory (if available) and display information about the selected user, such as:

• Users ID.
• Users full name.
• Data of last password change.
• Account expiration date.
• Bad password count.
• Domain.
• Home directory.
• Group memberships.
